Apple Halwa

" An Apple A Day, Keeps Doctor Away", it's an old proverb and an ultimate fact.
I want to show you the truth behind this proverb..............

Nutritional facts of Apple :
  • Apples are full of a fibre called pectin - Pectin is classed as a soluble, fermentable and viscous fibre, a combination that gives it a huge list of health benefits, like for heart health, digestive health and cancer protection.
  • Leading dietary source of boron, for bone health
  • Contains Vitamin C
  • Contains heart-healthy potassium
  • A great source of Anti-oxidants, the disease-fighting compounds, which helps prevent and repair oxidation damage that happens during normal cell activity

So eating an apple a day can give you following benefits :
  • You will get whiter and heathier teeth
  •  It decreases your risk of diabetes
  • The soluble fibre found in apples binds with fats in the intestine, which translates into lower cholesterol levels and a healthier you
  • Its high fibre helps you get healthier heart
  • It will control your weight
  • It detoxifies your liver very easily
  • Red apples contain an antioxidant called quercetin which helps boost and fortify your immune system, especially when you're stressed out.
  • You should include apple in your diet when you have diarrhea. Also helps to prevent constipation, as a high fibre food
  • Its antioxidant property helps to fight all kinds of cancer.
I love apples and have it everyday. My kids have kind of love-hate relationship with apples. One day they will eat, other day not. So, to include apple in their diet, I find various ways. They love sweets, so I made this dessert quite often for them and they love it. I can assure you that any apple hater will love this finger-licking Apple Halwa. It's quite easy-to-make and absolutely helathy. Add sweetner according to your taste.
